What To Expect

Going to new places and especially church can be intimidating. Here at Salem we want you to first feel welcomed. Expect to be embraced and welcomed from the time you come in the door. We have two really good entrances (4th St. entrance has white doors in the front where you can park on the street, and the Walnut St. entrance has coffee, a parking lot, and an elevator or stairs to get to the sanctuary), that normally have people there to greet you and help you out. Secondly, we want you to feel comfortable. Although we have a traditional sanctuary, we have a service for all people. We have a choir, praise team, and children's choirs that are involved at different times. Our pastor shares a biblically grounded, graced filled message in an easy to understand presentation. Here we don't want you to feel like visitors, but comfortable and part of the family.

  • How long is service?

Our service normally lasts about an hour.

  • How should I come?

We try to be a very welcoming and informal church. You will see people in jeans, dresses, polos, and suits. We want everyone to feel comfortable at Salem.

  • What time does service start?

We have Sunday School at 9 am starting in September and going through May. Worship starts at 10 am all year around.

  • Young People:

Our Sunday mornings are great for kids. We have Sunday School for kids Nursery to 8th grade.  SOAR is our Pre-K-6th grade ministry dedicated to teach students how to build a foundation on Christ and lift off in their faith from there. It stands for Standing On A Rock and emphasizes the importance of building a life on Christ first and then learning how to take off and share their faith with those around them. SOAR is comprised of different components including a worship service for pre-k-5th grade on Sunday mornings at 10am.  Kids can also get involved by being acolytes, as well as being a part of our Kids Choir and Bell Choir.

  • Worship Schedules:

We offer a wide range of worship styles here at Salem. From September through May, our worship schedule is:
